Activity-Peruvian National Championships-4, 5
Today I participated of the 2015 Rowing National Championship, this would be my fourth national championship in my rowing career. In this competition I competed 2000m in the 2- boat which is basically rowed by two people and stirred with the foot. I felt really nervous in the morning, as usual, which also made me visit the bathroom a couple of times before the race. The type of boat I raced on requires the two of us to be 100 percent coordinated both in speed, movement, and strength because each person has one row, making me even more nervous. For this competition I trained six days a week(Monday-Sunday), for the last year. Working together with my teammates not only allowed me to push me further in skills, but it allowed me to achieve total coordination while stirring the boat with my foot. We got second place, it was exhausting, but fun.
Activity-Argentinian National Championships-1, 4, 5
Random Training Session:
Today was the first day that we rowed in the eight as a team. It is a really hard boat to get stable because you need the 8 rows to go in and out of the water at the same time. Our coach got fustrated with us, we got frustrated, and the weather didnt help us either. We need to raise our level by a lot in order for us to even have a chance at the argentinian nacional championships. I am really tired right now and it dosent help that tomorrow I have to wake up at 4:30 in the morning. At this point rowing causes me to have a lot of anxiety, wich dosent let me focus during the day. I just whant to draw a lot of stuff, but I cant. I have been considering leaving by the end of the year, but after so much time I really dont know what I should do. Rowing is everything for me, my freinds, my time, my life. Quiting it wont be easy, but I think it would probably be the best choice I could do at this moment.
After Competition:
Today was the last day of the championship, we did not win, people here are really tough, but we did improve and gain experience. I competed in the 2-, and on the eight, and in both of theme we beat our time and stroke per minute record which is awesome. I really feel like I have stepped up my level in all senses. In total I competed in four 2000 meter races, all which have given me a ton of experience. In my opinion rowing is the definition of teamwork, because not only are you working in a team but you also have to learn to work as one by anticipating any movement that the person in front of you does.

Activity-World Rowing Coastal Championships(Peru)-4, 5
Yesterday I competed in the final of the WRCC, I competed in the 4+ which is a boat with 4 people and a cox. I wasn't really nervous for the competition itself, until the day it started, which is when reality hit me, you are competing in a world championship. Looking back I can see all of my effort paying of(training 6 days a week(1 or 2 times per day) for the last 4 years), and even though we were crushed by another boat we still got to the final and we still did our best. The competition itself was really tough(6km) and if it weren't for the effort made by everyone I don't think that I could have gotten as far as I did. Finally, I have decided to make this my final competition as I will be quitting rowing by the end of the year to pursue my passion for art at a greater level, and because rowing has started to cause me some anxiety problems making it hard for me to enjoy it anymore. Participating for Peru(as part of Club Regatas Lima) meant that I had to consider what I said and did in order to best represent the people of my country.

Activity-Stand up Paddle 24km(2016)-1, 2, 4,
Today I paddled for 24km, I have been preparing myself for the last month(february), I started paddling because my mom did it, and because I had to fill the void left by rowing some way or another. It took us four hours to complete the course, and the sea conditions were pretty decent. At this point my body is completely exhausted, but nothing can beat the satisfaction that arises after completing your goals. Now I need to find a new goal in order to get myself to do some exercise.

Activity-Polynesian Canoe Peruvian National Championships-1, 2, 4, 5
Tomorrow I will be competing in the Polynesian Canoe Peruvian National Championships, I will be competing 6 km in the V6 canoe which is composed of six individuals. It is weird to be competing in another type of rowing, but they needed me in order to complete the boat, so here I am. I have only been training with them for the last month so my technique and physique is still pretty limited, but I think I will be able to handle the race. I'm starting to get really nervous, but not as much as before I hope we can win.

Activity-Polynesian Canoe South American Championships-1, 2, 4, 5, 7
Random Training Sesion:
Today we had a 12km training sesion in the morning. I have realized that my level is way better than a month ago, as I can see feel that I am aporting to the canoe. At the start I couldnt go three km without stopping and now I did 12km without stoping, and I dont feel as tiered as I would have expected. The championship will be in a week, and I honestly dont know what to expect, but I dont think we will win. I have been training 4 days a week in playa pescadores and this has not only improved my phisique, but is has improved my levels of happiness. I think that by doing this I am kind of filling that void inside me that was left after rowing, but without as much intensity wich means that there is no anxiety coming from it.
Championship Reflection:
Last week I competed in the Polynesian Canoe South American championships. On Friday I competed V6 6 km, and on saturday I competed V6 20 km. I have really improved since the start and even though I felt I was going to die at the end of the 20km I consider that it was an amazing experience. Everyone in the team helped cook, clean the dishes, clean the room, and move the canoes. We got 4/4 on friday, and ⅝ on saturday, Im pretty impressed by the results although ten hours of championship for three days plus the races can be really tiring. Participating for Peru meant that I had to consider what I said and did in order to best represent the people of my country. Representing your country is not only an honor, but a responsability as anything you do would not only impact yourself but how other people percieve your country. Moreover, because thre were a lot of cameras around we had to really challenge ourselves to think as a country rather than as an individual. Furthermore, we were told that last year somebody started saying negative things like insults to other people and that the administration of the championship had to talk with the captain to avoid things like this in the future. Apart from this, one of the hardest things about rowing in maitencillo was that the there was a lot of wind, and that the waves were really big which meant that the canoe could flip easily. Because of the bad weather I was pretty scared at first, but at the end I conquered my fears, and I managed to compete not only in one race as planned, but in two races. One of the coolest things about this sport is that everyone is very welcoming, even between countries. One of the pictures in the bottom was taken with some brazilian freinds that we made. We didnt speak the same language, but we managed to comunicate and build a freindship.
